NRA Basic Pistol Course


In this NRA course, you will learn the basic knowledge, skills, and attitude necessary for owning and using a pistol safely. The course is divided into five lessons and includes "live fire" exercises on a shooting range.

-Pistol Knowledge and Safe Handling
-Ammunition Knowledge and the Fundamentals of Pistol Shooting
-Firing the first Shots
-Two-Handed and One-Handed Standing Shooting Positions
-Pistol Sports and Activities

At the completion of the course, students willbe required to take a written test

10 hour course (split into 2 days)
Materials provided in the class:
• Student training manual (Yours to keep)
• Firearms and ammunition provided for range use
• Certificate and rocker upon successful completion of the course
What you should bring with you:
• Eye protection
• Hearing protection
• Pen and/or pencil
• Something to drink (Water is best)
• Lunch for yourself
